A primary school teacher in Tavua is now under investigation for allegedly leaving a Year 5 student in a freezer for being disobedient.
Police has confirmed to FBC News that the incident happened on Thursday and the matter was reported to the police on Friday last week.
It is alleged that the student was playing in the school verandah and despite being told not to play; the student disobeyed.
This resulted in the alleged incident where the student was left in a freezer that wasn’t working.
The matter was reported to police by the student’s parents.
Police investigation continues.
