Amitabh Bachchan’s Name Put On Hold As ‘Incredible India’ Brand Ambassador. Is This The Panama Papers Effect?
You might already know how the Panama Papers controversy was recently in the news. And it was in the news off late because our very own Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s names were reported in it.
Even though Amitabh Bachchan had a while back given his official statement that he has nothing to do with it, looks like this Panama Papers issue has definitely affected Senior Bachchan’s public image. The government has for now put on hold signing him up as the brand ambassador of Incredible India campaign. According to sources, this pause might be on until he gets a clean chit after the Panama Papers leak. According to reports, the decision was supposed to be taken this month, but will now be considered only after the actor comes out clean.
In fact, just a while back the Congress party had demanded him being taken down as Maharashtra’s ambassador for the Save Tiger project as well. In addition, they also demanded Bachchan’s removal from the advisory panel on the development of part of Bandra Kurla Complex as an International Finance and Services Centre.
Looks like Amitabh Bachchan really has some trouble coming his way!
