This Mother Murdered Her 13-Year-Old Differently-Disabled Son To Claim A 10-Lakh Insurance
Chaitanya deshpande, a 13-year-old boy who was partially disabled, was beaten to death last week. By his own mother. Investigations by the police have revealed a horror story behind the death of the young boy in Pune. Rakhi, his 36-year-old mother, is believed to have beaten the boy to death along with her alleged boyfriend to claim an insurance amount of Rs 10 lakh that was in the boy’s name. Medical reports suggested that the death occurred due to trauma on the chest that was caused when he was beaten cruelly with a bat. To think that a biological mother could do that to her own kid, is beyond our imagination. The story is as cruel as it gets. Neighbours have confirmed the fact that she was a terrible mother. Used to beat up the boy and confine him often. She would starve him, beat him on petty issues, Rakhi’s mother and neighbors were shocked at the mother’s behaviour Even Rakhi’s own mother spoke against her and revealed how she used to torture the kid, and never feed him enough. She would even make him wash utensils and clothes. When the old lady threatened Rakhi that she would take Chaitanya away, this monster of a mother threatened to slap a kidnapping case against her own mother. The neighbours often tried to intervene at the cruelty meted out to the boy, but were always snubbed by Rakhi. She even threatened one of them with a fake sexual harassment case. The Mid-Day reported a neighbour Puja Patil: “Many a time, we used to hear loud noises of Chaitanya being beaten, but we could not help him. If we would try and intervene, she would hurl abuses at us and threaten us saying she would lodge a molestation case against my husband. The boy was innocent and would occasionally speak to me through the window when Rakhi locked him in.” The Motive Rakhi’s estranged husband had bought a policy worth Rs 10 lakh in Chaitanya’s name. Rakhi, living with her lover, the landlord of her house, was aware of this and also knew she would get the amount if anything was to happen to Chaitanya. A senior officer investigating the case told Mid-Day, “Rakhi and her alleged boyfriend, Sumit More, hatched a plot to portray Chaitanya’s death as an accidental one so she could claim the money from the insurance policy.”
